The Season is Upon Us

It's that time of year. The time when the majority of the boating population is itching to get their boats in the water and feel that familiar salty spray on their skin and the cool breeze off of the water. You know what I'm talking about. I'm craving it. I bet you are too. Truth is, I've been craving it since November. Drew has been watching sailing videos religiously since December with a hint of longing in his eyes. Its a miracle we haven't been subjected to watching Wind and Morning Light on repeat. The excitement of what's to come this summer and early fall is running through our entire family. Our boys are anxious to get out on the boat and see what they can 'catch' with their tiny little fishing poles. They are looking forward to running free on the beach, and sailing into the horizon. We all are.

I'm looking forward to the freedoms that the summer season allows. It's no secret that winters on Cape Cod are a bit.... quiet. So the ability to be outside and explore, to jump on the boat and go for a ride, to go fishing, to go to the beach, to swim, to look for sharks and whales, etc is more than appealing right now. Drew and I are almost at that sweet spot in age with our little ones where spontaneity is more realistic for a Type A person like me. We are so excited to watch their little faces as Adrenaline's sails fill with wind and when they catch the salty spray from a wave over the front of the boat.

might not look like much is happening but some stuff if happening inside!
Adrenaline in the storage yard.

Crunch time is here. Drew is preparing the sailboat for its launch date. Crunch time is here. Sanding the bottom, repainting, compounding and waxing, polishing, cleaning.... that's what his free time is looking like for the next few weeks. Adrenaline will likely get one shake down sail and crew practice before Drew delivers the boat to Hyannis Yacht Club for the 2019 Figawi Race Weekend! If any of you are over on Nantucket on Memorial Day Weekend, come on down to the Boat Basin and say hi. Look for the giant hurricane flag, that's us!

What are you excited for?!!!!

"When can we use these?!!!!"

Teach 'em young
